I.7.5 Pompeii. December 2007. East side of vestibule with doorway to cubiculum. On either side of the vestibule was a pilaster that served as supports for the floor joists of the upper floor. The courtyard and closed tablinum can be seen on the right. On the east side of the courtyard was the kitchen bench, and on the south side were the steps in blocks of Sarno stone.

The middle zone of the south wall had a red central aedicula with a hanging garland and the side panels were black separated by thin painted pilasters, yellow frieze. The upper zone of the wall was also painted black.

Painted wall plaster from south wall of closed tablinum. The room was decorated with a black zoccolo or dado.

The middle zone of the south wall had a red central aedicula with a hanging garland and the side panels were black separated by thin painted pilasters, yellow frieze. The upper zone of the wall was also painted black.
